Robert Andrews

In 1984, Robert returned to his birth country, England, on a working holiday. While there he was employed at Norrington & Adams as a cutter. He worked on commissions for Colefax & Fowler and Osbourne & Little. Robert was able to work with designers like Roger Banks-Pye, Tom Faulkner and John Stefanidis. At the time Norrington & Adams were making soft furnishings for The Queen Mother, Princess Anne and The Spencers.

In 1987, Robert returned to New Zealand and, with his mother Valerie, established Andrews Soft Furnishings Ltd. With experience gained overseas he taught himself all the aspects of curtain installation. Robert developed relationships with various New Zealand designers, most of whom are still loyal clients of Andrews Soft Furnishings today.
